Bio :

Layartist and self-publishing author.

Born in California and raised in rural Texas El was known for often doodling or dabbling quietly under a tree. From an early age her art was eclectic and her writings wordy. That is, until the fateful event of a botched wrist surgery near her 15th birthday. With her passion borrowed by crippling pain both her art and writing took a backseat to life.

A few decades and a spiritual healing journey later, El found the emotional pain of not making her art outweighed the physical pain of crafting it. She continues to chart the course of crafting through debilitating discomfort. Through the journey of finding her art she found her faith. All to re-meet her own self along the way.

Starting with the process of writing her autobiography, A Christian Metaphysician, El quickly found her Art Heart once more. With no formal art training and a canonical struggle with technology El is both proud and grateful to be determinedly self-teaching each step of the way as she crafts what she desires to craft simply because she wishes it to exist.

Hey howdy yall! Welcome to my little corner of the internet. I am so glad you’re here!

Id like to give you a quick rundown of the purpose of this site. As I realized my divergent brain could never settle on a single project I have set out to tackle the three goals of art, oration, and spiritual guidance all at once. This is the simple hub of my creative endeavors set into a single space.

On Oct 19th, 2023 I sat down to start an ink art piece in heartbroken protestation of an atrocity taking place in our world. Two years later the act of revisiting the art piece every quarter of each year has allowed me to slowly but surely find my path and purpose in total.

All ink art pieces are done in a mindful flow state, allowing the shapes and shades to speak for themselves. Each piece is tied to a moment in my life, each stroke a subtle telling of the events of that juncture.

Self-taught in Procreate, some digital creations are captured moments of my lived timeline, some are simply for funsies.

A Christian Metaphysician is the marginally fictionalized, relatively in-tact autobiographical retelling of the life lived so for as an adult diagnosed with autism and the perspective shifts that came with it. This is done solely for the purpose of my mother. I am simply inviting anyone curious to come along in the telling.
